The group threatens to take over the security of the state if the security operatives failed to find the killers within the frame of one week.
The group leader, Ralph Uwazurike, represented by the Commander of BIM Commandos, Chinedu Chukwu, said this while addressing members of MASSOB at Ifite-Dunu, Dunukofia Local Government Area of the state.
He said: “How can this happen in a Biafran land and those behind it left to go scot-free. We cannot take this anymore, since the security operatives could no longer protect lives and property of the people.”
He also described those threatening to stop the November 2017 gubernatorial election in the state as trouble-maker who will achieve nothing in the end, Daily Post reports.
He said: “Let me remind you also that the gubernatorial election billed to take place in the state come November 18 this year must hold.
“They cannot cry more than us that started this journey to actualize a Biafra republic, they are all our off-shoots.”
Meanwhile, Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has finally broken his silence a day after gunmen attacked the Catholic Church at Ozubulu, Anambra state reportedly killing many worshippers.
He declared that the perpetrators must be made to face the consequence of their crime which was committed on Sunday, August 6.
