Senator Shehu Sani
In a Facebook post seen by Naij.com on Saturday, July 22, which the outspoken senator titled: “Timetable for Restructuring”, he noted that the recent setting up of a committee to look into how to restructure Nigeria was being used to buy time.
He said this would continue till 2018 when it will change into a campaign mode and the restructuring will die in 2019 during the elections.
“1.In 2017 restructuring is in COMMITEE mode or “buying time mode”
“2.In 2018 restructuring will be in CAMPAIGN promises mode
“3.In 2019 restructuring will be buried in ELECTION mode
“4.In 2020 in “New Government need to settle” mode.
“5.In 2021 in “looking into it” mode
“And on and on.”
Nasir El-Rufai Restructuring Boss
It’s earlier reported that rather than get excited over the appointment of Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state as head of a 10-man committee on restructuring, Nigerians sent warning signals to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Those who reacted to the development wondered why the party would pick El-Rufai who allegedly double-spoke about the issue of restructuring some years ago and recently.
