Chief Emmanuel Nwankwo, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Iba Town and chairmanship aspirant in Ojo Local Government of Lagos state in the coming LG elections in the state has died.

According to P.M.EXPRESS the Anambra State-born politician died barely ten minutes after returning from a PDP meeting held at the Lagos state secretariat on Wednesday, April 12.

VON gathered that the deceased returned from the meeting and started vomiting blood and was rushed to a hospital in Ojo where he was admitted.

But when the hospital management could not handle the case, he was transferred to another hospital on the Lagos Island where he eventually died.

Nwankwo’s death has thrown the residents and party members into confusion as they claimed that he might have been poisoned due to the party leadership crises in the area.
